From the snows of Planet C to the wastes of Planet E and everywhere in between…
by seantcollins on December 25th, 2010Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all here at DestructorComics.com!
What happens here will matter later.
Today, I wish to thank my colleague Matt Wiegle for toiling mightily to get page six of “Destructor Comes to Croc-Town” up and running. Well worth the effort, my friend.
I also wish to thank Rick Marshall of the MTV Splash Page blog for his unnecessarily kind words about Destructor at ComixTalk’s 2010 Roundtable. The entire piece, a survey of the state of webcomics and digital comics of all kinds, is worth reading if you would like to sample the comics-format riches available throughout the range of human-electronic interfaces. Meanwhile, if you enjoy armor-clad adventurers in whatever medium, Rick’s report on director Jon Favreau’s feelings regarding Iron Man 3, the film he announced he would not be directing yesterday, is worth a look as well.
One brief note on nomenclature today: So far, we have not seen Destructor destroy much of anything.
This is about to change.
This drawing (dated c. 1995) is the latest surviving portrait of Destructor from my personal archives. Since that time I have largely abandoned the visual component of my studies of the Great One and his era in favor of a more ruminative, literary approach.
