Ben Morse pays tribute to both Destructor and Jack Kirby — as befits his status as associate editor of Marvel.com — with this Iron Man-esque piece of fanart.
Do you have Destructor fanart you’d like to share? Please send it to me.
Notice anything different about the site? Yes, the skullscreen atop every page has shut down the feed from the swamps and is now trained on the very prison at which “Prison Break” takes place. Please be assured that the skullscreen’s ocumonitor will always focus on wherever Destructor’s adventures may take us.
While you await tomorrow’s installment of “Prison Break,” it is my pleasure to present you with this Destructor fanart by esteemed Marvel animator Alex Kropinak. In this image, Destructor arm-wrestles a Terminator. In my experience Destructor is more likely to either seek alliances with killer robots or engage them in mortal combat than attempt to best them in regulated athletic competition, but this is what is known as “artistic license.”
A hearty thank you to Tom Spurgeon, the illustrious Comics Reporter himself, for his recommendation of “Prison Break.” We hope this colorized version will live up to his characterization of it as “the best Destructor story.” At least until the next one.
A new chapter begins! This one chronicles a pivotal moment in Destructor’s career, and thus in history. It also serves as an introduction to several major players in the Mob — and, perhaps, in opposition to it. We hope you enjoy it!
