While the efforts of my colleague Mr. Wiegle have ensured that “Destructor and the Lady” proceeds apace, you may have noticed the reduced volume of our other posts. As this piece of event-specific Destructor fanart by my friend and two-time collaborator Isaac Moylan indicates, the reason for my reduced presence is the unexpected but most welcome birth of my daughter, Ms. Helena Christine Collins. Insofar as Ms. Collins is currently being kept alive and thriving by mechanical intervention — albeit of a variety both less thorough and less fashion-forward than what you see here — a drawing of her as a tiny, jolly cyborg is not entirely inappropriate. I hope you’ll join me in wishing that she can soon doff her metaphorical suit of armor and join the human world at large.

Congratulations on the arrival of your mini destructor! Can’t wait until she is our robot overlord! (Please Helena, spare my life) – all the best and don’t worry about updating and all that jazz, marvel at the wonders of life for a while. I hope she’s doing well.
congrats on the new arrival! I have two young daughters and they are pure awesomeness. You are going to have such a good time. Many blessings for you and your fam!
